Our approach

Making better use of what's already there.

You already have access to a dependable, consistent source of clean energy. It's about making better use of it. With the right approach, solar becomes a practical, long-term improvement that supports your home, reduces reliance on the grid, gives you more control over your energy costs, and continues to make sense year after year.

Clarity before anything else. We walk through the numbers so you can clearly understand how solar compares, and we work with a trusted local financing partner offering solar-specific options tailored to your needs. If it doesn't make sense, we won't recommend it.

Estimates only, based on national and provincial averages for electricity rates, solar yield and typical installation costs. Your actual numbers depend on your roof, energy usage and available incentives, which we confirm during your free consultation.

Long-term projections assume a conservative 4% annual increase in electricity rates. As utility costs increase over time, the difference between your current electricity bill and estimated solar payment is expected to reduce.

Energy solutions for Atlantic Canada

Designed for the way Atlantic Canadians use energy

Going solar in Atlantic Canada isn't like anywhere else in the country. Every province has different electricity rates, incentives and net metering policies, so every system needs to be designed around where you live. At T1 Solar, we also design for our climate. Snow loads, coastal wind, salt air and decades of historical weather data are all factored into every system design and conservative production estimate, giving you confidence that your system will perform year after year.

T1 Solar manages the full process for homeowners and businesses, from the initial consultation and site assessment through custom system design, permitting, installation and ongoing monitoring. Whether you're considering rooftop solar, a ground-mounted system, a commercial project or battery backup, you have one accountable in-house team guiding the project from the first conversation through to activation.

FAQ

Solar in Canada, answered

Most Canadian homes save between $1,500 and $3,000 per year, depending on province, roof orientation and usage. We provide exact projected savings and payback before you commit.
Incentives are now provincial and most have closed. Nova Scotia's SolarHomes rebate ended in 2025 and New Brunswick's closed to new registrations in May 2026, while PEI paused new applications in 2026. What still pays you back is net metering, about 19.1 cents per kWh in Nova Scotia. Businesses can claim the 30% federal Clean Technology tax credit.
Yes. Your solar energy system is designed to perform reliably in Canadian weather conditions, with seasonal production accounted for during the system design.

Solar panels generate electricity from daylight, not heat, and are often more efficient in colder temperatures. Properly tilted panels also allow snow to slide off naturally, enabling the system to continue capturing available sunlight throughout the year.
Tier 1 panels are built for 30+ years and come with a 25-year performance warranty. Most keep producing well beyond that.
Most residential installations are completed in one to two days once permits and equipment are in place, and we handle the paperwork.
Yes, for backup power during outages and to avoid peak-rate electricity, either with new solar or added to an existing system.
